Hitting Finances Head On

30 Minute visit. An x-ray. A splint. $1478.40.

And we have two other bills I know of for about $200.

How many more will come???

She had a 100.5 fever today. Went to Redi-clinic. They turned us away. Too many patients. We called our family doc. Have an appointment tomorrow.

I decided to take off work early today and get the Vetter Family personal finances straight. I'm using gnucash. I've sorta buried my head in the sand for some time... and have found it makes decision making erratic... and makes planning the future a miry mess... where avoidance is the best strategy.

It's hard though to get a handle on things when you feel like as soon as you nail on thing down another pops. I know this sounds horrible, but I'm so glad we aren't going to have any more children. I love ours... but but... it just sounds so bad... I'm just happy that we aren't having any more!

The most recent decision Kim and Kaley wanted from me was whether or not Kaley could attend Lutheran South (a private school).

I have no basis to make those decisions, and others like: make a garden, take a vacation, buy canvas material, get a new car for Kim, fix the kitchen, tile the floor - get a camera :( :( :(

My gut is to *stay tight*. So I end up tight all the time... but in reality things are just flying around...

However, Spoonbill isn't that way. By the penny, by the books, it is setup right. Granted - running a family is much more complicated than the business right now.

I better stop typing... I killed my arms today in a flurry of non-work related conversations.

PS: Called Bay Area Roofers in Friendswood today.

Well, off to get fluids for Kaley.
