... etc... then derived a type off of that dude:
class Vector3DElement : public TypedElement... etc.. and it twas good. The first time I've ever derived from my own generic.
Yesterday, the stars aligned and I rocked on the keyboard/voice recognition.
Today, Mark came over for our once-a-month "do the numbers" meeting. I called Humana and got something straight on the billing. I could tell the Humana lady really wanted me to understand the answer to my question. I told her something like, "I completely understand the billing. Thank you." She kinda stopped and said, "Thank you. I try real hard to explain this and wonder if I'm making it clear. Thank you." I like when companies hire and keep people who care about what they do. Yesterday, Larry and I were talking about a company that Andi left which thrives on high turn over - kinda like the last company Mark (neighbor) worked for - that really disgusts me.
After "doing the numbers", Mark and I took a walk to discuss work status and stuff. I wanted to know where the water starts for the ditches I fish in. I think we found the end - no spring, just a gradual opening into a field.
The ditch did cut through a nice golf course. So --- fishing and golfing right from "the office". Need to meet with my "connections" some day.
We walked for 2.5 hours. It's quite possible that we walked 6-8 miles. My big thing of late has been about innovation, "language", collaboration and stuff. I talked Mark's ear off - and a couple times what I said flowed like I was saying what I meant in an almost coherent stream of thought.
Just before getting back to "HQ" a guy slowed down and hollered out, "Hey, Mark!" The guy was laid off by Lockheed not too long ago and was looking at moving to Austin to work for AT&T. It really makes me sad to see people laid off and looking for work.
I was walking in shorts in the cold. I'm either out of shape or the cold was seizing up my legs. I was ready to sit!
Played some catch with a football with Kovi... Did math with Kaley today... Guess it's time for Rockford.
Think I'm about to take off a couple days. These walking souls are worn thin.

Give you soul and soles a break. :-)
That was a reference to STP's:
Too much walkin', shoes worn thin
Too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin
