Anyhow, Kovi had his first day of T-Ball today. He woke up this morning and said, slowly, with that little low voice, "Dad, if you aren't too tired today, I was hoping you could come to my first t-ball practice at six o'clock."
He's really into it.
I wish I could have gotten a picture of him getting coached at the T. It was cool. The coach, actually the coach's son, was serious about it... and so was Kovi. Kovi got a good hit and the coach kinda yelped in surprise. The sun was just right with long shadows. The field was soft and green.
In the end, Kovi got his own hat that has his name embroidered on the back. On the front it has two big letters "LC" - that's League City. He got #2. His first number. Pretty funny.
Each boy's dad was there to practice with their son. Kovi has been so attached to Kim that it almost felt odd taking over!
PS: Fishing note - I've been making a single fly and going to the creek to fish it. Been experimenting. Today, I made a pretty decent mayfly imitation and caught a nice size bass/sunfish. I'm naming all the little places I fish along that stream (ditch sounds terrible!) --- stream, okay, lets call it a stream... anyhow I think I am naming that place "Golden's". My favorite spot, I call "Nirvana's". It's been kinda run over with moss :( Here's a list of spots that I've named so far:
- Legend's
- Golden's
- Nirvana's
- Deep Eddy
- Retard's
- Tangles
- Mom and Pop's
- By The Bridge
- Grandpa's
- Little Spot

I just love the story about you and Kovi. So very precious. When he was here last week, I told him that very soon we would be coming to watch him in activities, just like we do Kaley. He said, "Really? You are gonna come and watch me?" He seemed really pleased and excited. We can't wait! Let us know and we will try to make the earliest game possible. Love, Mom V... AKA MeMaw
PS... Daddy and I both remember that one of the reasons you named him Kovi is because his name sounds like a baseball player. Was it prophetic? Mom V
That'd be great if you came to see him. It's T-ball and most of the kids don't realize they are even playing baseball. All they know is, "I'm in a field, and there's airplanes in the sky and white balls are flying around --- and sometimes the white ball comes at me... and why is my hand is big?"
It was a good day at practice. He is a big boy! The kids are 3,4, and 5 so like Keith said, there is general confusion. His games are on Saturdays.
