Drawing 101

Finished work then went back to thinking about drawing.  Here you see a quick attempt at turning a figure using simple geometrical shapes.

I'm humbled by the drawing, knowledge, understanding, training, work and passion of the classic artists.

My thought today was that I need to enroll myself in Texas City's art program to take drawing classes.

I may be wrong, but I think the combination of learning to draw will translate into what I do (or wish to do) at work.  I need to be able to draw to know what I'm doing.  It's like pre-modeling.  I think everybody should.  I'm surprised that drawing is not as hardcore as math in school.  Really.  It's not a froo froo deal.  It's knowing that people have shoulder blades and... cheekbones... and joints... rib cages... and how we perceive things...  it's big... real big... HUGE... lol
